Perdido Key, Florida ~ July 2013

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks in Perdido Key, Florida. We had lots of beautiful days on the beach, and enjoyed getting to spend time with Catherine's family -- CC, Papa, David, Isa, Matthew (almost 4) and Christopher (15 months) were all there during our trip. Nicholas had a blast playing and digging in the sand, and he absolutely LOVED swimming in the ocean. He also spent lots of time perfecting a jump into the pool that he called his "Cannon Ball - Pumpkin Shoot - Brown Eyed Girl - We Used to Sing" jump. It was quite entertaining. Ava has unfortunately not gotten over her dislike of the sand...so she spent much of her beach time lounging on a chair in the shade. But we found that if we distracted her with enough seashells and little buckets of water, we could convince her to spend a little time sitting in the sand. Just don't ask her to walk in it, though! She also LOVED going in the ocean with us and swimming in the pool!
